Venice, Italy  Day 1, 2, + 1

Arriving a day early in Venice with high spirits was the beginning of an adventure of a lifetime. Remaining positive, the weather did not look good for my trip. Rain. Rain. Rain. But It didn't matter -

I was in Italy! The directions to the hotel seemed simple enough - 2 hours later, carrying a backpack in the rain, soaking wet I finally arrived at the hotel. The twists and turns of Venice are a little tricker than I thought. First challenge accomplished!!!!

Settled in, went out for a bite to eat for dinner by myself - second challenge accomplished! On the way back my jet lag set in. Going up the steps in the hotel, I tripped falling into a marble wall. I ended up with a gash above my eye but it didn't matter

I was in Itlay!

Being an artist, my goal in Venice was to explore as many places from St. Mark Square to the hidden back alleys and to take pictures that would represent the art, cultural, architecture and life of Venice. I also went on the Venetian Bacari Tour with Alessandro Schezzini. Classic old bars serving wine and traditional cichetti snacks. Fabulous time, I highly recommend this tour. This was a wonderful time to explore Venice through food and wine. Here is what I captured of Venice - enjoy! Yes, it did rain the whole time I was there but it didn't matter

I was in Italy and I was on an adventure and rediscovering myself!
